- Verify that the headlamp and IP dimmer switch is turned to the
OFF position.
- Turn the interior lamps override switch to the ON position. This
enables the interior courtesy lamps.
- Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
- Lower the driver window in order to prevent lockout.
- Close all of the vehicle doors.
- While observing the courtesy lamps, open and close the driver's
door.
Did the courtesy lamps turn on when the driver's door was opened?

- Verify that all of the vehicle doors are closed.
- Turn the ignition switch from the RUN position to the LOCK position.
- While observing the courtesy lamps, remove the key from the ignition
key cylinder.
Did the courtesy lamps turn on when the key was removed from the ignition

- Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
- Reinstall the connectors and the components that you removed.
- Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position for 6 seconds.
- Remove the BCM PRGRM fuse.
- Turn the ignition switch to the ACC position. The BCM sounds the
chime several times equivalent to the BCM type which is installed on the vehicle.
- Within 1 second, turn the ignition switch from the ACC
position to the LOCK position, then back to the ACC position. The BCM sounds
any DTCs stored.
