- Inspect the CD player for the following conditions:
• | The disc is inserted upside down. |
• | The disc is scratched or dirty. |
• | The disc is moist or wet. |
• | The disc may be moist if a cold disc was inserted into a hot player,
or vice versa. |
• | The internal temperature of the IP is high. |
• | A very high internal temperature may cause the disc to eject. |
- Wait for 1 hour in order to allow the moisture to evaporate.
- Use a known good disc in order to test the operation of the CD
player.

• | Verify that the disc is inserted correctly. |
• | Clean any dirt or fingerprints from the disc. |
| Allow one hour for condensation to evaporate. |
• | Duplicate the road operating conditions with a known good disc
(skipping may be normal on rough or dirt roads). |
• | Attempt to duplicate other conditions with a known good disc.
Some discs may contain marks that are not visible. |
