---------- The power door locks may be intermittently inoperative, or may experience multiple lock cycles at random intervals, on 1992 U-van with Remote Keyless Entry (RPO AU0) only.
------ The door lock switch circuit boards may have voltage present at the input to the Remote Keyless Entry Module at the wrong time. This condition was corrected shortly after start of production.
----------- Since this condition is intermittent, normal diagnosis may result in incorrect parts being replaced. Remove both door lock switches, and check the date codes. The date code has four digits. For example, "1319", where the "1" is the last digit of the year (1991) and the "319", is the Julian date. If either of the date codes is 1319 or lower (older), both the left and right power door lock switches should be replaced, following Service Manual procedures. If both the date codes are higher (newer) than 1319, other causes of this condition should be investigated, following the diagnostic procedures in the Service Manual.

General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
