WAVY OR WARPED GRILLE SERVICE PROCEDURE/CORRECTION

SUBJECT WAVY GRILLE - INSTALL TAPE

MODELS/YEARS 1990 SILHOUETTE

CONDITION:

---------- The lower edges of the grille warp away from the fascia (see the illustration on the back of this bulletin).

CAUSE:

------- The molding process of the grille caused insufficient material along the lower edges of the grille.

CORRECTION:

Perform the following procedure to correct the condition.

1. Cut two (2) 225mm (9 inch) strips of 12mm (1/2 inch) wide, grey 3M SCOTCH-MOUNT Super Automotive Attachment tape (3M # 06384) or equivalent.

2. Attach the strips together to make a double thickness of tape.

3. Lift up the bottom edge of the grille and clean the underside of the grille as well as the fascia area directly below the grille.

4. Install the tape between the bottom edge of the grille and the fascia as shown in the illustration.

5. Repeat for the other side of the grille.
