SUBJECT: COLUMN MOUNTED GEAR SHIFT LEVER TOO SHORT (INSTALL NEW DESIGN SHIFT LEVER)

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1992 "C/H" MODELS

CONDITION:

--------- Some owners of 1992 Oldsmobile "C" and 'H" cars may comment that the column mounted shift lever is too short.

CORRECTION:

---------- If an owner requests the longer, redesigned lever, install P/N 25609054 lever. Refer to Figure 1 for part identification.

Note: The new lever is available only in black and is not intended to be painted.
