BACK WINDOW MLDG. APPEARANCE (INSTALL NEW MOLDING)

SUBJECT BACK WINDOW REVEAL MOLDING APPEARANCE - INSTALL NEW MOLDING

MODELS/YEARS 1991-92 NINETY EIGHT ------------------------------------------------------------------------------

CONDITION:

---------- Some 1991-92 Ninety Eights may exhibit poor appearance of the back window molding due to shrinkage.

CORRECTION:

----------- 1 . To replace the upper molding use P/N 25606317. To replace the lower molding, use P/N 25606319. Both parts are currently available from GMSPO.

2. Remove the upper molding. Assure the molding retainer is clean and dry. Apply a light bead of Loctite 380 (Black Max) or Loctite 410 or equivalent adhesive in one inch beads in locations shown in the illustration below. Apply only enough adhesive to assure proper retention.

3. Begin installing the molding by inserting the right lower end of the molding into the retainer. Moving upward from this point, install the molding up the right side and across the top of the left upper corner. Insert the left lower end of the molding into the retainer. Moving upward from this point, finish the installation of the molding.

If necessary to replace the lower molding

1. Remove the lower reveal molding. Assure the molding retainer is clean and dry. Apply Loctite 380 (Black Max) or Loctite 410 or equivalent in one inch lengths in areas noted in the illustration below.

2. Center and install the lower reveal molding.
