ROUGH IDLE AND DRIVEABILITY MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR OPERATION

Vehicles Affected: 1985 Oldsmobile and Buick "C" Models Equipped with 3.8L MPFI Engine

Some 1985 Oldsmobile and Buick "C" models equipped with the 3.8L MPFI engine may encounter an idle or driveability condition without turning on the "Service Engine Soon" light. This may be due to the Mass Air Flow Sensor operation, if it has a date code before 0904.

The date code is located on the bar code as indicated by the Example in Figure 1.
