Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 306707 Size: SH

    Caution:  When a hood hold open device is being removed or installed, provide alternate support to avoid the possibility of damage to the vehicle or personal injury.

  1. Open the hood (1).
  2. Prop up the hood (1).
  3. Loosen the ball socket retainers.
  4. Pry off the assist rod (2).

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the assist rod (2).
  2. Tighten the ball socket retainers.
  3. Remove the hood prop.
  4. Lower the hood (1).
