Side Marker Lamp Replacement Buick

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.



2. Turn the bulb/socket (4) counterclockwise in order to remove the socket from the side marker lamp (1).
3. Remove the nuts (3) that retain the side marker lamp (1) to the rear bumper fascia (2).
4. Remove the side marker lamp (1).

1. Turn the bulb/socket (4) clockwise in order to install the socket to the side marker lamp (1).
2. Install the side marker lamp (1).
3. Install the nuts (3) in order to retain the side marker lamp (1) to the rear bumper fascia (2).
4. Lower the vehicle.

Side Marker Lamp Replacement 88/LSS

1. Turn the bulb/socket counterclockwise in order to remove the socket from the side marker lamp (2).
2. Release the locking tab at the rear of the lamp.
3. Pull the tab outboard and rearward in order to release the tab.
4. Remove the rear side marker lamp (2).

1. Install the rear side marker lamp (2).
2. Press the locking tab in order to engage the locking tab at the rear of the lamp.
3. Turn the socket clockwise in order to install the socket to the rear side marker lamp (2).

Side Marker Lamp Replacement Regency

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.



2. Turn the bulb/socket counterclockwise in order to remove the socket from the side marker lamp (1).
3. Remove the bolts (4) that retain the side marker lamp (1) to the rear bumper fascia (2).
4. Remove the rear side marker lamp (1).

1. Turn the bulb/socket clockwise in order to install the socket to the side marker lamp (1).
2. Install the rear side marker lamp (1).

Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

3. Install the bolts (4) in order to retain the side marker lamp (1) to the bumper.

Tighten
Tighten the nuts (3) to 9 N·m (80 lb in).
