Description
Before using the ABS/TCS procedures, you must have a basic knowledge
of the following items. Without this basic knowledge, it will be difficult
to use the diagnostic procedures.
- Basic Electrical Circuits
• | The basic theory of electricity |
• | Definitions of voltage, current (amps), and resistance (ohms) |
• | How to read a wiring diagram |
- Use of Circuit Testing Tools
• | The J 39200
DMM
and the use of the meter controls |
• | How to measure voltage, resistance, and current |
• | Use of jumper wires in order to bypass components in testing circuits |
If you need a review of basic electrical troubleshooting knowledge,
refer to Troubleshooting Procedures Cell 4 in Electrical Diagnosis contains
helpful information in the introduction. Basic use of the circuit testing
tools is also covered. Additionally, electrical/electronic courses are Offered
