Description

Before using the ABS/TCS procedures, you must have a basic knowledge of the following items. Without this basic knowledge, it will be difficult to use the diagnostic procedures.

  1. Basic Electrical Circuits
  2. • The basic theory of electricity
    • Definitions of voltage, current (amps), and resistance (ohms)
    • Open/shorted wires
    • How to read a wiring diagram
  3. Use of Circuit Testing Tools
  4. • The J 39200 DMM and the use of the meter controls
    • How to measure voltage, resistance, and current
    • Use of jumper wires in order to bypass components in testing circuits
