Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 176192  Size: SH
  1. Remove the front seat. Refer to Bucket Seat Replacement .
  2. Remove the seat cushion trim panel. Refer to Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement .
  3. Open the J-retainers on both sides of the cushion cover.
  4. Slide the cushion cover upwards to expose the recliner to seat back attaching hardware.
  5. Remove the roll pins securing the recliner to the seat back.
  6. Discard the old roll pins.

  7. Remove the recliner to seat back frame pivot bolts.
  8. Remove the seat cushion from the seat back.
  9. Remove the seat cushion cover retainer rings.

  11. Unfasten the hook and loop retainers securing the front seat cushion cover to the cushion pad.
  12. Carefully pull the front seat cushion cover away from the cushion pad.

Installation Procedure

  1. Carefully pull the front seat cushion cover over the cushion pad.
  2. Fasten the hook and loop retainers securing the front seat cushion cover to the cushion pad.
  3. Install the seat cushion cover retainer rings.
  4. Install the seat cushion to the seat back.

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  6. Install the recliner to seat back frame pivot bolts.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the recliner to seat back frame pivot bolts to 24 N·m (18 lb ft).

  8. Install new roll pins securing the recliner to the seat back.
  9. Slide the cushion cover downwards and close the J-retainers on both sides of the seat cushion cover.
  10. Install the seat cushion trim panel. Refer to Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement .
  11. Install the front seat. Refer to Bucket Seat Replacement .
