Removal Procedure
- Raise the front floor
console armrest.
- Remove the screws from the front floor console trim plate.
- Open the front floor console cupholder.
- Pull up on the front floor console trim plate starting at the
rear and working forward to release the retainer clips.
- Remove the traction control switch from the front floor console
trim plate. Refer to

- Lift the front floor console trim plate up and over the transaxle
shift lever.
- Remove the front floor console trim plate from the front floor
console.
Installation Procedure
- Align the front floor
console trim plate to the front floor console.
- Install the traction control switch to the front floor console
trim plate. Refer to
Electronic Traction Control Switch Replacement
.
- Install the front floor console trim plate to the front floor
console pressing into place until fully seated.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the screws to front floor console trim plate.
Tighten
Tighten the front floor console trim plate screws to 2 N·m
(18 lb in).
- Close the front floor console cupholder.
- Lower the front floor console armrest.
