J 38778 Door Trim Pad and Garnish Clip Remover

1. Open the rear compartment.



2. Disconnect the lock cylinder release actuator electrical connector.
3. Remove the lock cylinder actuator cable from the lock cylinder.
4. Remove the push-in retainers from the latch using J 38778 .
5. Remove the rear compartment lock cylinder release actuator nuts.



6. Remove the rear compartment lock cylinder release actuator.

1. Install lock cylinder release actuator to the rear compartment lid.
2. Install the rear compartment lock cylinder release actuator nut.

Tighten
Tighten the rear compartment lock cylinder release actuator nuts to 10 N·m (89 lb in)




3. Install the push-in retainers to the latch.
4. Connect the electrical connector to the lock cylinder release actuator.
5. Install the lock cylinder actuator cable to the lock cylinder.
6. Close the rear compartment.
