Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the rear compartment lid. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Replacement .
  2. Remove the rear compartment lid struts. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Strut Replacement .

    3. Object Number: 182217 Size: SH
  3. Mark the quarter panel hinge location with a grease pencil.
  4. Remove the rear compartment hinge to rear quarter panel bolts.
  5. Remove the hinge from the rear quarter panel.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 182217 Size: SH
  1. Align the hinge to the alignment marks on the rear quarter panel.
  2. Install the rear compartment hinge to rear quarter panel bolts.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the rear compartment hinge to rear quarter panel bolts to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  3. Install the rear compartment lid struts. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Strut Replacement .
  4. Install the rear compartment lid. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Replacement .
  5. Adjust the rear compartment lid height adjustment using an allen wrench on the rear compartment hinge height adjustment bumper.
  6. Adjust the rear compartment lid height adjustment by turning the rear compartment lid overslam bumper by hand.
