1. Disconnect the rearview mirror harness connector.
2. Turn the ignition switch on.
3. Step firmly on the brake pedal.
4. Shift the transaxle gear selector lever to the REVERSE position.
5. Using a test light, probe between the inside rearview mirror harness connector terminal 3 and ground.

Is the test light on?

1. Disconnect the transaxle range switch connector C1.
2. Using a test light, backprobe between the transaxle range switch connector C1 terminal B and ground.

Repair poor connection or open in circuit 24.

Adjust or replace the transaxle range switch. Refer to Park/Neutral Position Switch Adjustment or Park/Neutral Position Switch Replacement in Automatic Transaxle for service procedure.
