Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 182576  Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection in Engine Electrical.
  2. Remove the instrument panel (IP) cluster trim plate. Refer to Instrument Cluster Trim Panel Replacement .
  3. Remove the screws retaining the IP cluster.

  4. Object Number: 182581  Size: SH
  5. Disconnect the electrical connector from the IP cluster.
  6. Remove the cluster.

Installation Procedure

  1. Connect the electrical connector to the IP cluster.

  2. Object Number: 182576  Size: SH
  3. Install the IP cluster into position.
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the IP cluster retaining screws.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the IP cluster retaining screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  7. Install the IP cluster trim plate. Refer to Instrument Cluster Trim Panel Replacement .
  8. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection in Engine Electrical.
