Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rear window trim panel. Refer to Rear Window Shelf Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  2. Remove the nuts retaining the rear speaker grille to the bottom of the rear window trim panel.
  3. Release the rear speaker grille retainers from the rear window trim panel.
  4. Remove the rear speaker grille from the trim panel.

Installation Procedure

  1. Position the rear speaker grille to the rear window trim panel.
  2. Carefully press the rear speaker grille into the rear window trim panel to secure the retainers.
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the rear speaker grille retaining nuts.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the rear speaker grille retaining nuts to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  6. Install the rear window trim panel. Refer to Rear Window Shelf Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
