Was the Headlight System Check performed?

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
  2. Using a DMM, measure the voltage by backprobing between the Daytime Running Lamp (DRL) control module connector C2 terminal H and ground.

Is the voltage measured within the specified range?

2.2-2.7V

  1. Add light source to the DRL ambient light sensor.
  2. Using a DMM, measure the voltage by backprobing between the DRL control module connector C2 terminal G and ground.

Is the voltage measured within the specified range?

2.2-2.7V

Check for a poor connection or open in circuit 1137.

Is there an open or poor connection in circuit 1137?

  1. Leave the DMM connected from previous step.
  2. Disconnect the DRL ambient light sensor electrical connector.
  3. Using the DMM, measure the voltage again.

Is the voltage measured within the specified range?

2.2-2.7V

Check for a short to ground in circuit 1138.

Is there a short to ground in circuit 1138?

Repair poor connection or open in circuit 1137.

Replace the DRL ambient light sensor. Refer to Daytime Running Lamp (DRL) Ambient Light Sensor Replacement for service procedure.
