  1. Check the suspected backup lamp bulbs for damage or open filament.
  2. Check the LH or RH backup lamp connectors to be sure the harness connector seals are not damaged or missing.

Is the backup lamp bulb and connector OK?

  1. Remove the inoperative backup lamp.
  2. Set the park brake.
  3. Shift the transaxle gear selector into REVERSE.
  4. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
  5. Connect a test light between inoperative backup lamp connector terminal A and ground.

Is the test light on?

    • LH: Repair poor connection or open in circuit 250 between the LH backup lamp harness connector terminal G and G401.
    • RH: Repair a poor connection or open in circuit 350 between the RH backup lamp harness connector terminal G and G302.

Is the repair complete?

Repair poor connection or open in circuit 24 between the backup lamp connector terminal A and S424.

Is the repair complete?
