  1. Check the RH high beam headlamp bulbs for damage or open filament.
  2. Check the RH headlamp connector to be sure the connector seals are not damaged or missing.

Are the headlamp bulbs and connectors OK?

  1. Disconnect C142.
  2. Using a J35616-A kit connect jumpers wires between C142 terminal F female and terminal F male and terminal G female to terminal G male.
  3. Turn on the headlamps high beams on.
  4. Use the test lamp and probe between C142 terminal F and ground.

Is the test lamp on?

Using a test lamp probe between the underhood accessory wiring junction block harness connector C3 terminal E2 and ground.

Is the test lamp on?

--

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 9

Repair a poor connection or open in circuit 1740 between the underhood accessory wiring junction block harness connector C3 terminal E2 and the RH headlamp harness connector C142 terminal F.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Headlight System Check

  1. Disconnect C142.
  2. Using a J35616-A kit connect jumpers wires between C142 terminal F female and terminal F male and terminal G female to terminal G male.
  3. Turn on the headlamps high beams on.
  4. Use the test lamp and probe between C142 terminal G and ground.

Is the test lamp on?

  1. Reconnect C142.
  2. Turn headlamps on high beam.
  3. Using a test lamp backprobe between the underhood accessory wiring junction block harness connector C3 terminal C8 and ground.

Is the test lamp on?

--

Go to Step 9

Repair poor connection or open in circuit 1200 between the RH headlamp harness connector C142 terminal G and the underhood accessory wiring junction block harness connector C3 terminal C8.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Headlight System Check

Replace the RH headlamp. Refer to Headlamp Replacement for service procedure.

Check for poor connection at the underhood accessory wiring junction block.
