Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 182625  Size: SH
  1. Remove the LH instrument panel (IP) insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Replacement .
  2. Remove the steering column opening filler panel. Refer to Steering Column Opening Filler Replacement .
  3. Remove the screws retaining the IP cluster trim plate to the IP trim pad.
  4. Grasp the cluster trim plate along the bottom edge and carefully pull to release the retainers.
  5. Disconnect the electrical connector from the trip odometer and reset switch.
  6. Using a small flat-bladed screwdriver, carefully release the switch retainers and remove the switch.
  7. Remove the IP cluster trim plate.

Installation Procedure

  1. Align the trip odometer and reset switch to the IP cluster trim plate and press in place to secure the retainers.
  2. Connect the electrical connector to the trip odometer and reset switch.
  3. Align the IP cluster trim plate retainers to the slots in the IP trim pad.
  4. Carefully press the cluster trim plate along the bottom edge to secure the retainers.
  5. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  6. Install the IP cluster trim plate retaining screws.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the IP cluster trim plate retaining screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  8. Install the steering column opening filler panel. Refer to Steering Column Opening Filler Replacement .
  9. Install the LH IP insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Replacement .
