Tools Required

J 42450-A Hub Cleaning Kit

1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.



2. Remove the tire and wheel. Refer to Wheel Removal in Tires and Wheels.



3. Remove the brake caliper bracket with the brake caliper. Refer to Rear Brake Caliper Bracket Replacement .

Notice: Do not allow calipers to hang from the flexible hoses. Doing so can damage the hoses.

4. Use a strap or heavy gage wire in order to support the brake caliper and the brake caliper bracket.
5. Remove the brake rotor.

1. Clean any corrosion from the brake rotor flange.
2. Use the J 42450-A in order to clean the hub flange.
3. Install the brake rotor.



4. Install the brake caliper bracket with the brake caliper. Refer to Rear Brake Caliper Bracket Replacement .



5. Install the tire and wheel. Refer to Wheel Installation in Tires and Wheels.
6. Lower the vehicle.
