Removal Procedure

Tools Required

J 38778 Door Trim Pad and Garnish Clip Remover.


    Object Number: 182989 Size: SH
  1. Remove the right side harness retainer attaching the ABS lead to the engine splash shield using the J 38778 .
  2. Remove the right side engine splash shield retainers using the J 38778 .
  3. Remove the right side engine splash shield.

    4. Object Number: 182983 Size: SH
  4. Remove the left side harness retainer attaching the ABS lead to the engine splash shield using the J 38778 .
  5. Remove the left side engine splash shield retainers using the J 38778 .
  6. Remove the left side engine splash shield.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 182983 Size: SH
  1. Install the left side engine splash shield.
  2. Install the left side engine splash shield retainers.
  3. Route the ABS lead through the slot in the shield.
  4. Install the left side harness retainer attaching the ABS lead to the engine splash shield.

    5. Object Number: 182989 Size: SH
  5. Install the right side engine splash shield.
  6. Install the right side engine splash shield retainers.
  7. Route the ABS lead through the slot in the shield.
  8. Install the right side harness retainer attaching the ABS lead to the engine splash shield.
