Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection in Engine Electrical.
2. Partially drain the engine coolant from the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .



3. Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the coolant level module (2).



4. To unlock the coolant module, perfrom the following:

4.1.	Lift one leg of the snap clip from its locked position.

4.2.	Pull outward with a slight twisting motion.

5. Remove the coolant level module.
6. Inspect the O-ring seal on the coolant level module.

1. Install the O-ring. Lubricate the O-ring seal with engine coolant.
2. Place the snap clip leg in place.
3. Install the coolant level module.



4. Connect the wiring harness connector to the coolant level module (2).

Important: To properly fill the system requires the use the air bleed vents.

5. Fill the cooling system with engine coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
6. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection in Engine Electrical.
7. Inspect for leaks.
