Removal Procedure

  1. Squeeze the spring clamp on the reservoir cap and slide the clamp past the cap fitting.
  2. Gently twist, and pull the coolant recovery hose from the reservoir cap fitting.
  3. Squeeze the spring clamp at the radiator fill neck and slide the clamp past the fill neck fitting.
  4. Gently twist, and pull the coolant recovery hose from the radiator fill neck fitting.
  5. Remove the engine mount strut brackets from the radiator support. Refer to Engine Mount Strut Bracket Replacement in Engine Mechanical - 3.8L.
  6. Remove the channel retainers from the wiring harness channel.
  7. Reposition the wiring harness channel to access the reservoir hose.
  8. Remove the coolant recovery reservoir hose.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the coolant recovery reservoir hose.
  2. Position the wiring harness channel after reservoir hose is installed.
  3. Install the channel retainers to the wiring harness channel.
  4. Install the engine mount strut brackets to the radiator support. Refer to Engine Mount Strut Bracket Replacement in Engine Mechanical - 3.8L.
  5. Lubricate radiator fitting end of coolant recovery hose with coolant.
  6. Push the coolant recovery hose onto the radiator fill neck fitting until fully seated.
  7. Squeeze the spring clamp, slide the clamp into position over the bead on the radiator fitting.
  8. Lubricate reservoir fitting end of coolant recovery hose with coolant.
  9. Push the coolant recovery hose onto the reservoir cap fitting until fully seated.
  10. Squeeze the spring clamp, slide the clamp into position over the bead on the reservoir fitting.
