1982-88 FIRENZA MODELS WITH L-4 OHV ENGINES
Service manual specification for the piston-to-bore clearance needs to be corrected. Following is the current model year correction, along with a restatement of past model years:
1987 and 1988 Firenza (VIN 1 Engine):
Piston-to-Bore Clearance = .025 mm - .055 mm (.00098" - .0022")
Piston-to-Pin Clearance = .010 mm - .022 mm (.0004" - .0009")
1982 through 1986 Firenza (VIN G and P Engines):
Piston-to-Bore Clearance = .017 mm - .043 mm (.0007" - .0017")
Piston-to-Pin Clearance
1982 - 1984 = .007 mm - .009 mm (.00026" - .00037")
1985 - 1986 = .005 mm - .018 mm (.0002" - .0007") (Production)
1985 - 1986 = .010 mm - .022 mm (.0004" - .0009") (Revised Service Parts)
