CAMPAIGN: PULSAIR VALVE ASSEMBLY CORROSION SUPPLEMENT

CERTAIN 1983 FIRENZA MODELS EQUIPPED WITH 2.0L LQ5 (VIN CODE P) AND AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION (FEDERAL EMISSIONS) OR 2.0L LQ5 WITH AUTOMATIC AND MANUAL TRANSMISSION (CALIFORNIA EMISSIONS)

The following revises the Warranty Claim Information and Service Procedure Sections of Product Campaign Bulletin 83-C-09, dated November 10, 1987.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

Add to Step 4:

If the part number stamp is 22035900 and there is no date code stamp present, then replacement of the Pulsair Check Valve assembly is required. If the part number stamp is 22035900 and a date code stamp is present, refer to the original bulletin to determine if replacement is required.

WARRANTY CLAIM INFORMATION

The Labor Hours for Labor Operations V4280 through V4283 are revised as follows:

Without Cruise Control - 0.8 hours

With Cruise Control - 0.9 hours
