DEFINITION: This test checks the inflator solenoid valve and the surrounding circuits.

1

  1. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
  2. Disconnect the inflator solenoid valve connector.
  3. Connect a fused jumper from inflator timer-relay connector terminal D to C.
  4. Turn the ignition switch to RUN.
  5. Measure the voltage from the inflator solenoid valve connector terminal A to ground.

Is the measurement within the specified value?

10.5--15 V

Check CKT 1249 (DK BLU) wiring for an open circuit condition.

Is an open circuit condition present?

Repair the open in CKT 1249.

Is the repair complete?

Measure the voltage from inflator solenoid valve connector term A to B.

Is the measurement within the specified value?

10.5--15 V

Repair the open circuit condition in CKT 1250 (BLK).

Check air lines and fittings for binding or pinching.

Are the air lines and fittings in good condition.
