DEFINITION: This test checks the condition of the height sensor and the height sensor supply and ground circuits.

1

  1. Disconnect the height sensor connector.
  2. Measure the voltage from the height sensor connector (vehicle side), terminal C to ground.

Is the measurement within the specified value?

10.5--15 V

Go to Step 2

2

Repair the open circuit condition:

    • Vehicles w/optional inflator valve - Repair the open circuit condition in one of the following circuits/components
      • CKT 1042 (RED) from the height sensor to connector C440, terminal D
      • CKT 1246 (LT BLU) from connector C440, terminal D, to the inflator timer-relay
      • Inflator timer-relay terminal B to terminal D (replace if no continuity)
      • CKT 1042 (RED) from the inflator timer-relay to the ELC fuse in the RH MaxiFuse® Block
    • Vehicles w/o optional inflator valve - Repair the open circuit condition in CKT 1042 (RED) between the height sensor and the ELC fuse in the RH MaxiFuse® Block.
