1985 FIRENZA, CUTLASS CIERA, CUTLASS SUPREME & DELTA 88
The exterior OEM paint on some 1985 Firenza, Cutlass Ciera, Cutlass Supreme and Delta 88 models that were finished with Dispersion Lacquer may exhibit a blushing condition. Blushing can best be described as a white hazy or milky discoloration. This condition can be determined by comparing the appearance of the outside rearview mirrors or soft body fascia to adjacent body parts. A finish that shows blushing can be polished to a high luster, but will show signs of blushing within a few days.
Blushing is a result of a quantity of paint that was contaminated in the manufacturing process.
Some 1985 cars with the following paint colors built at the listed plants within the indicated build dates are affected.

General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
