LOOSE AND/OR REDUCED RETENTION OF LEFT SIDE

SUBJECT: LOOSE AND/OR REDUCED RETENTION OF LEFT SIDE ACCESS COVER ON INSTRUMENT PANEL (APPLY HOOK AND LOOP MATERIAL)

MODELS: 1995-96 OLDSMOBILE CUTLASS SUPREME

CONDITION:

SOME OWNERS MAY COMMENT ABOUT THE LEFT SIDE ACCESS COVER ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL BECOMING LOOSE AND/OR FALLING OFF.

CORRECTION:

REINSTALL THE COVER TO THE INSTRUMENT PANEL USING THE FOLLOWING MATERIALS AND PROCEDURE.

1. USING 3M #06480 HOOK AND LOOP MATERIAL (OR EQUIVALENT) CUT ONE PIECE APPROXIMATELY 25MM X 25MM (1" X 1") FROM EACH OF THE HOOK AND LOOP MATERIAL AND PRESS THE TWO PIECES TOGETHER.

2. REMOVE THE RELEASE PAPER FROM THE LOOP SIDE AND PRESS INTO POSITION ON THE INSIDE OF THE ACCESS COVER OPENING AS SHOWN IN THE ILLUSTRATION.

3. REMOVE THE RELEASE PAPER FROM THE HOOK SIDE AND REINSTALL THE ACCESS COVER TO THE INSTRUMENT PANEL.

4. PRESS THE COVER INTO POSITION TO ENSURE PROPER ADHESION.
