WARRANTY PARTS RETURN PROGRAM

MODELS/YEARS 1988-90 CUTLASS SUPREME MODELS

This bulletin has been revised to include the 1990 Cutlass Supreme. All 1988-1990 Cutlass Supreme parts replaced under warranty are to be returned to CPC Headquarters at the following address:

CPC Headquarters GM 1 0 Part Return Area Room 291-33 30001 Van Dyke Avenue Warren, Mi. 48090-9020

The only parts excluded from this program are stationary glass, transaxles, batteries, engine blocks and other items which already have special return requirements (for example, radios, E.C.M.'s, electronic clusters, etc.).

Please return all parts as soon as the repair order is completed. You do NOT need to wait until the claim is paid. When shipping the part(s), please protectively wrap and include a legible copy of the repair order. This return program will remain in effect until further notice. This policy is being established to allow engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers an opportunity to evaluate parts. This evaluation will in no way penalize the dealer should any parts be found not to be defective.

Parts should be shipped pre-paid (DO NOT SHIP BY AIR). Claims for freight reimbursement are to be submitted once a month. Initiate one repair order for all freight charges using the Vehicle Identification Number and mileage of one vehicle which had a part failure.

Claims are to be submitted using Labor Operation T4627 with Trouble Code 92. Freight expense must be listed in the sublet column. The dealer is responsible to retain and make available upon request the original paid receipts for freight costs.

General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
