Important: A short to ground will cause an open fuse(s). Before performing this diagnostic procedure, inspect the fuse(s) for an open.

1. Inspect the body control module (BCM) for DTCs.
2. Correct any of the current codes set. Refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List/Type .

Have all of the code setting conditions been corrected?

Backprobe the BCM connector C2 using a J 39200 DMM and measure the voltage between terminal B1 and ground.

Is the voltage measured to the specified value?

B+

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 5

Replace the BCM. Refer to Body Control Module Replacement in Body Control System.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Interior Lamps System Check

1. Open the left front door.
2. Backprobe the BCM between terminal A11 of connector C3 and terminal B1 of connector C2 using a J 39200 DMM and measure the voltage.

Is the voltage measured to the specified value?

B+

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 8

Backprobe the BCM connector C3 using a J 39200 DMM and measure the voltage between terminal A12 and ground.

Is the voltage measured to the specified value?

B+

Go to Step 8

Go to Step 7

Backprobe the left IP wiring harness junction block connector C2 using a J 39200 DMM and measure the voltage between terminal C9 and ground.

Is the voltage measured to the specified value?

B+

Go to Step 9

Go to Step 10

Backprobe the right IP wiring harness junction block connector C1 using a J 39200 DMM and measure the voltage between terminal A2 and ground.

Is the voltage measured to the specified value?

B+

Go to Step 11

Replace the BCM. Refer to Body Control Module Replacement in Body Control System.

Is the repair complete?

Backprobe the left IP wiring harness junction block connector C1 using a J 39200 DMM and measure the voltage between terminal E4 and B+.

Is the voltage measured within the specified range?

Go to Step 13

Repair the open in CKT 1732 between the BCM and the left IP wiring harness junction block. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Interior Lamps System Check

Repair the open in CKT 340 between the right IP wiring harness junction block and the BCM. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Replace the right IP wiring harness junction block. Refer to Relay/Fuse Center Replacement in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Replace the left IP wiring harness junction block. Refer to Relay/Fuse Center Replacement in Wiring Systems.

Repair the open in CKT 156 between the BCM and the left IP wiring harness junction block. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
