Tools Required

J 41239-10 Cooler Pipe Seal Remover

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
2. Remove the transmission oil cooler lines from the transmission. Refer to Automatic Transmission Oil Cooler Pipes Replacement .



3. Remove the cooler line bracket stud.



4. Remove the oil cooler line seals.

J 41239-1A Cooler Pipe Seal Installer

1. Use DEXRON III, or equivalent, Automatic Transmission Fluid in order to lube the seal and the transaxle bores thoroughly.
2. Install the J 41239-1A on the transmission case using cooler line bracket bolt.
3. Install a new seal in the case bore.
4. Press the new seals in. Tighten the cooler line bracket bolt until the seal bottoms out in the case bore.



5. Install the cooler line bracket stud.
6. Install the transmission oil cooler lines. Refer to Automatic Transmission Oil Cooler Pipes Replacement .
7. Lower the vehicle.
8. Check the fluid level.
