Push and release the cover to reveal the front ashtray and cigarette lighter.

Notice: If papers, pins, or other flammable items are put in the ashtray, hot cigarettes or other smoking materials could ignite them and possibly damage the vehicle. Never put flammable items in the ashtray.

To clean an ashtray, make sure the cover is open fully, then lift out the ashtray by pulling on the snuffer.

To use a lighter, push the center all the way in and let it go. When it's ready, the center will pop back out by itself. Pull out the entire unit to use it.

Notice: Holding a cigarette lighter in while it is heating does not let the lighter back away from the heating element when it is hot. Damage from overheating can occur to the lighter or heating element, or a fuse could be blown. Do not hold a cigarette lighter in while it is heating.

The cigarette lighter will only operate when the ignition is in ON and for 10 minutes after turning the ignition off. If you would like the lighter to operate regardless of the ignition position, and for extended periods of time, see "Engine Compartment Fuse Block" under Fuses and Circuit Breakers or see your dealer.

Leaving an accessory on for a long period of time can drain the vehicle's battery.
