Removal Procedure
- Remove the front bumper fascia. Refer to
Front Bumper Fascia Replacement
.
- Remove the front impact bar. Refer to
Front Bumper Impact Bar Replacement
.
- Remove the fastener retaining
the rear of the front bumper impact bar bracket.
- Remove the fasteners retaining the front of the front bumper impact
bar bracket.
- Remove the front bumper impact bar bracket from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
- Install the front bumper
impact bar bracket to the vehicle.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the fasteners
to secure the front of the front bumper impact bar bracket.
Tighten
Tighten the fasteners to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).
- Install the fastener to secure the rear of the front bumper impact
bar bracket.
Tighten
Tighten the fastener to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

- Install the front bumper fascia. Refer to
Front Bumper Fascia Replacement
