Removal Procedure
- Remove the rear seat cushion. Refer to
Rear Seat Cushion Replacement
in Seats.
- Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to
Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
in Engine
Electrical.
- Remove the rear fuse block
cover.
- Remove the positive battery cable nut (1) and cable from
the rear electrical center.
- Release the 4 retaining clips.
- Lift the electrical center up and turn over.
- Remove the 3 connector fasteners and remove all the
connectors from the fuse block.
Installation Procedure
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install all the
connectors to the rear fuse block and hand start the fasteners.
Tighten
Tighten the fasteners to 6.6 N·m (58 lb in).
- Install the rear electrical
center into the base assembly ensuring all the clips engage.
- Install the positive battery cable and nut (1).
Tighten
Tighten the nut to 15 N·m (11 lb ft).
- Install the rear seat cushion. Refer to
Rear Seat Cushion Replacement
in Seats.
- Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to
Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
in Engine
Electrical.
