Removal Procedure
- Raise the vehicle. Support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking
in General Information.
- Remove the exhaust system. Refer to Exhaust System In Engine Exhaust.
- Remove the manifold-to-crossover pipe.
- Remove the steering rack retaining bolts.
- Support the transmission.
- Remove the right mount-to-bracket
through bolt and nut.
- Remove the rear mount-to-cradle through bolt and nut.
- Remove the right mount.
- Remove the transmission brace from the transmission case.
Installation Procedure
- Install the transmission
mount brace to the transmission case.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
Tighten
Tighten the bolt and the stud to 47 N·m (35 ft lb).
- Install the right mount.
- Install the rear mount-to-cradle through bolt and nut.
- Install the right mount-to-bracket through bolt and nut.
- Remove the transmission support.
- Reposition the steering rack. Tighten the steering rack.
- Install the manifold-to-crossover pipe.
- Install the exhaust system. Refer to Exhaust System in Engine
Exhaust.
- Lower the vehicle.
