1. Remove the left closeout/insulator panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side in Instrument Panel, Gauges, and Console.
2. Remove the accelerator controls cable (1) from accelerator pedal (3).
3. Remove the accelerator controls pedal clip retainer (2).
4. Remove the accelerator controls pedal assembly (3).

Important: The mounting surface between support and dash panel must be free of insulation. The carpet and padding in the pedal area must be positioned to lay flat and be free of wrinkles and bunches.

1. Install the accelerator controls pedal assembly (3).
2. Install the accelerator controls pedal clip retainer (2).

Important: Check for complete throttle opening and closing positions by operating accelerator controls pedal. Also check for poor carpet fit under the accelerator controls pedal. Throttle should operate freely without bind between full closed and wide open throttle.

3. Install the accelerator cable on accelerator controls pedal (1).
4. Install the left instrument panel sound insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side in Instrument Panel, Gauges, and Console.
