Removal Procedure

  1. Raise the vehicle. Support the vehicle. Refer to General Vehicle Lifting and Jacking in General Information.
  2. Remove the exhaust system. Refer to Exhaust System .
  3. Remove the manifold-to-crossover pipe.
  4. Remove the steering rack retaining bolts.
  5. Support the transmission.

  7. Remove the right mount-to-bracket through bolt and nut.
  8. Remove the rear mount-to-cradle through bolt and nut.
  9. Remove the right mount.
  10. Remove the transmission brace from the transmission case.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 98419  Size: SH
  1. Install the transmission mount brace to the transmission case.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt and the stud to 47 N·m (35 ft lb).

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the right mount.
  4. Install the rear mount-to-cradle through bolt and nut.
  5. Install the right mount-to-bracket through bolt and nut.
  6. Remove the transmission support.
  7. Reposition the steering rack. Tighten the steering rack.
  8. Install the manifold-to-crossover pipe.
  9. Install the exhaust system. Refer to Exhaust System .
  10. Lower the vehicle.
