Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the PCM from the vehicle. Refer to PCM Replacement .

    2. Object Number: 12685 Size: SH
  2. Remove the two KS Module cover screws.

    3. Object Number: 12684 Size: SH
  3. Grasp the KS Module tabs with your thumb and finger.
  4. Squeeze the tabs together.
  5. Pull the KS Module straight up.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 12685 Size: SH
  1. Remove the two KS Module cover screws and remove cover (if not previously removed).

    2. Object Number: 12684 Size: SH
  2. Hold the KS Module with your thumb and finger.
  3. Insert the KS Module straight down into the PCM through the access opening.
  4. Press the KS Module firmly into the PCM connector.

    5. Object Number: 12685 Size: SH

    Important: Ensure there is a good seal between access cover (1) and the PCM (3).

  5. Place the KS Module cover (1) on the PCM (3).
  6. Install the two cover screws.

    7. Tighten
    Tighten the two covers screws to 5.1 N·m (45 lb in).

  7. Install the PCM. Refer to PCM Replacement.
