WHEN HEADLAMP REPLACEMENT IS NECESSARY, THE NEW HEADLAMP VENT HOSE CAN BECOME PINCHED AT THE HOOD SEAL AREA, ALLOWING CONDENSATION TO FORM INSIDE THE HEADLAMP.
DURING PRODUCTION, THE ORIGINAL HEADLAMP VENT HOSE WAS MODIFIED BEFORE THE VEHICLE LEFT THE ASSEMBLY PLANT. THE VENT HOSE ON THE SERVICE HEADLAMP IS LONGER THAN THE HOSE ON THE ORIGINAL LAMP.
BEFORE INSTALLING THE NEW HEADLAMP, INSTALL A TIE STRAP, P/N 11509088, TO RETAIN VENT HOSE TO THE HEADLAMP (SEE ATTACHED ILLUSTRATION, VIEW "A").
PARTS ARE CURRENTLY AVAILABLE FROM GMSPO.
