SOME OWNERS MAY COMMENT ON A LOW LIFT CONDITION WHEN THE REAR COMPARTMENT LID LATCH IS RELEASED.
THE LATCH STRIKER POP-UP SPRING IS NOT STRONG ENOUGH TO FORCE THE LID UP.
REPLACE THE LATCH STRIKER WITH P/N 25636381 AS FOLLOWS: (SEE ILLUSTRATION).
1. REMOVE THE LICENSE PLATE POCKET FROM VEHICLE.
2. REMOVE THE REAR COMPARTMENT SILL PLATE FROM VEHICLE.
3. REMOVE THE BOLTS AND NUT RETAINING THE LATCH STRIKER.
4. REMOVE THE LATCH STRIKER.
5. INSTALL THE LATCH STRIKER, P/N 25636381, TO VEHICLE.
6. INSTALL THE BOLTS AND NUT. TIGHTEN TO 12 N.M (106 LB. IN.).
7. INSTALL THE REAR COMPARTMENT SILL PLATE TO VEHICLE.
8. INSTALL THE LICENSE PLATE POCKET TO VEHICLE.
