  1. Install the intake manifold gasket.
  2. Install the intake manifold.

  3. Object Number: 212752  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the intake manifold bolts.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts in sequence to 24 N·m (17 lb ft).

  6. Install the rear EGR port cover to the cylinder head.
  7. Apply GM P/N 12345493 or equivalent to bolt threads.
  8. Install the rear EGR port cover to cylinder head bolts.
  9. Tighten
    Tighten the rear EGR port cover bolts to 11 N·m (97 lb in).

  10. Install the throttle body to the intake manifold.
  11. Tighten
    Tighten the throttle body to intake manifold bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  1. Install the intake manifold gasket.
  2. Install the intake manifold.

  6. Install the throttle body to the intake manifold.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the throttle body to intake manifold bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  8. Install the fuel rail bracket.

  6. Install the rear EGR port cover to the cylinder head.
  7. Apply GM P/N 12345493 or equivalent to the EGR port cover to cylinder head bolt threads.
  8. Install the rear EGR port cover to cylinder head bolts.
  9. Tighten
    Tighten the rear EGR port cover bolts to 11 N·m (97 lb in).

    Tighten the throttle body to intake manifold bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
