Verify that the side power door locks are inoperative.

Do the power door locks operate normally?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems

  1. Disconnect the side door lock actuator that is not functioning.
  2. Inspect the connector terminals for looseness or damage.
  3. Connect a test lamp to the actuator harness terminal A and terminal B.
  4. Push a door lock switch to the lock or unlock position on the driver or passenger door.

Does the test lamp light?

Test CKT 295 (GRY) for an open. Refer to Circuit Testing in wiring systems.

Is an open present?

Go to Step 5

Repair the open in CKT 295 (GRY). Refer to Wiring Repairs in wiring systems.

Is the repair complete?

Repair the open in CKT 294 (TAN) or CKT 694 (TAN). Refer to Wiring Repairs in wiring systems.
