Inspect fuse 7.

Is fuse 7 open?

Repair a short to ground in CKT 840 (ORN). Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

  1. Disconnect the outside rear view mirror switch electrical connector.
  2. Using a J 39200 digital multimeter (DMM) between CKT 840 (ORN), cavity G and ground, test for voltage.

Is there voltage present?

Go to Step 7

Repair an open in CKT 840 (ORN). Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you complete the repair?

Connect a DMM between CKT 1850 (BLK) cavity B and B+.

Is there voltage present?

Repair an open in CKT 1850 (BLK) between the rear view mirror and ground G202. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Replace the outside rear view mirror switch.
