  1. Insert the key in the ignition.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
  3. Using a scan tool, enter BCM Data List INPUT 2.
  4. Monitor the park lamps.
  5. Move the headlamp switch to the PARK position.

Is ON displayed?

Inspect the connections at the BCM. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections

Are the connections in need of repair?

Repair the connections at the BCM as necessary. Refer to Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Replace the BCM. Refer to Body Control Module Replacement in Body Control System.

Using a digital multimeter (DMM), backprobe and measure the voltage at BCM connector C2 terminal B6 to ground.

Is battery voltage measured?

B+

Locate and repair the open or high resistance in CKT 2409 between S283 and BCM connector C2 terminal B6. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
