Removal Procedure

    Important: When a suitable hold open device is being removed or installed, provide alternate support to avoid the possibility of damage to the vehicle or personal injury.

  1. Install a suitable liftgate brace to the vehicle.
  2. Remove the liftgate window side garnish moulding. Refer to Liftgate Window Side Garnish Molding Replacement.
  3. Remove the liftgate window lower garnish moulding. Refer to Liftgate Window Lower Garnish Molding Replacement.
  4. Remove the liftgate trim panel. Refer to Liftgate Trim Panel Replacement.

    5. Object Number: 2046863 Size: SH
  5. Remove the liftgate inside pull handle to liftgate trim panel stop nuts (1).
  6. Remove the liftgate inside pull handle (2) from the liftgate trim panel (3).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 2046863 Size: SH

    Important: When a suitable hold open device is being removed or installed, provide alternate support to avoid the possibility of damage to the vehicle or personal injury.

  1. Position the liftgate inside pull handle (2) to the liftgate trim panel (3).
  2. Install the liftgate inside pull handle to liftgate trim panel stop nuts (1)
  3. Install the liftgate trim panel. Refer to Liftgate Trim Panel Replacement.
  4. Install the liftgate window lower garnish moulding. Refer to Liftgate Window Lower Garnish Molding Replacement.
  5. Install the liftgate window side garnish moulding. Refer to Liftgate Window Side Garnish Molding Replacement.
  6. Remove the suitable liftgate brace from the vehicle.
