Removal Procedure
- Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
- Remove the wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation.
- On vehicles equipped with rear drum brakes, remove the rear brake drum detent screw and brake drum. Refer to Drum Brake Adjustment.
- On vehicles equipped with rear disc brakes, remove the rear brake caliper and rear brake disc. Refer to Rear Brake Caliper Replacement.
- Remove the hub bolts and hub assembly.
Installation Procedure
- Install the hub assembly bolts and tighten to 65 N·m (48 lb ft).
- Install the hub nut.
- On vehicles equipped with rear disc brakes, install the rear brake disc and rear brake caliper. Refer to Rear Brake Caliper Replacement.
- On vehicles equipped with rear drum brakes, install the rear brake drum and the brake drum detent screw. Refer to Drum Brake Adjustment.
- Install the wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation.
- Lower the vehicle.
