Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 2034892 Size: SH

    Important: Before removing the rear object alarm, make note of its orientation on the rear object alarm module.

  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.
  2. Remove the rear window shelf trim panel. Refer to Rear Window Shelf Trim Panel Replacement.
  3. Remove the rear object alarm module. Refer to Object Alarm Module Replacement.
  4. Using a suitable tool carefully pry the rear object alarm (1) from the rear object alarm module (2).
  5. Disconnect the object alarm electrical connector (3).
  6. Clean the rear object alarm module (2) of any remaining adhesive.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 2034891 Size: SH

    Important: Orientate the rear object alarm in the same position as it was removed.

  1. Remove the protective backing paper (1) from the rear object alarm (2).
  2. Install the rear object alarm (2) to the rear object alarm module (3).
  3. Connect the object alarm electrical connector (4).
  4. Install the rear object alarm module. Refer to Object Alarm Module Replacement.
  5. Install the rear window shelf trim panel. Refer to Rear Window Shelf Trim Panel Replacement.
  6. Connect the battery ground cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.
